I have heard a lot of people saying God hates DIVORCE but they didn't read the Bible very well. This portion was taken from from the Book of Malachi 2 from verse 14 which says:
Why has God abandoned us? You cry. I will tell you why. It is because the Lord has seen your treachery in divorcing your wives WHO HAVE BEEN FAITHFUL TO YOU THROUGH THE YEARS the companion you promised to care for and keep. (Living Bible Translation).
So, is it a sin to divorce a wife that hasn't been faithful? Even Jesus gave infidelity as one reason to divorce your wife.
So, when we read the Bible, let's study very well. Some have translated that Bible passage on Malachi 2 to mean you can't divorce in Malachi 2:16 but the preceding verse explained it all.
A woman who hasn't been faithful and promiscuous can be divorced.
