Jesus actually went through the harrowing road to Calvary and Crucifixion as a man not God.
This is firstly on the basis of the truth that God doesn’t die. In fact, Jesus lost his God status the moment he took the sin of the world upon himself.
With the eyes of God the Father being too holy to behold iniquity, you can then understand Jesus’s cry in Matthew 27:46, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
Of course, if Jesus had faced the Cross as the God that he is, satan, the Jewish authorities, Pontius Pilate and the Roman soldiers wouldn’t have been able to handle or corner him!
