Can our destiny be changed? Some people believe that everything is already planned for us, and we can’t change it. Others think our choices can shape our future. In some stories, like those about witches, people are believed to have the power to change or even control someone’s destiny through spells. So, is destiny fixed, or can it be changed?

According to the popular saying that Destiny can only be delayed but can never be changed. If you can pray and pray through. Destiny delayed will find fulfilment but without prayers or if nothing is done to a destiny, it will be delayed and wasted.

It is essential to note that every person is created with power of volition as a free moral agent who has the power within himself to choose whatever he desires. Different factors are responsible to what each person chooses. Hence, each person is ultimately responsible to the consequences of his choices and accountable to God (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14; 2 Corinthians 5:10; Acts 17:31).

In view of the foregoing, no one is predestined for anything; rather each person is making his choices as a free moral agent. It will affect the divine nature of God to predestine anyone for something and still expects him to be accountable for what he does not choose on his own volition.

However, there is foreknowledge of God. It is God's power to know the future and declare the future before its manifestation. It's only God's plan that He predestined to manifest. For instance, God's eternal scheme to redeem human kind is predestined in Jesus by God's foreknowledge. However, God did not predestine Judas Iscariot to betray Jesus, as well as the Jews to crucify Him. Rather, it was Judas who chose by his greediness to betray His master. But because God knows the future, he foretold how Jesus will be betrayed and crucified (cf. Isaiah 53). Hence, Judas will be accountable for his evil deed which he chose to do on his own volition; as well as the wicked Jews who crucified Him (cf. Acts 2:23; Matthew 27:3-10).

In life, everyone is a product of his choices regardless of the factors responsible for such choices. If you choose what is good and implement all necessities for its realization, you will have God's favour to succeed via prayer, determination and commitment. You can do all good things through Christ who strengthens you (Philippians 4:13).
